In the By Laws of The New Jersey Higher Education Webmasters Association (HJHEWA), established in 2005, the Executive Committee is described as a group of nine representatives, from which are chosen the four officers, Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. The By Law specifically say:

  • # 7.1 The Executive Committee is made up of nine representatives who are Full Members.
  • # 7.2 Executive Committee shall be nominated and elected by the Full Members. Three Executive Committee members shall serve a three-year term, three shall serve a two-year term and three shall serve a one-year term.
  • # 7.3 The Executive Committee shall nominate and elect at the annual meeting the following officers for a one-year term: Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

The Executive Committee is the backbone and driving force of our Association. At our Annual Meeting, in June, we are looking to revitalize the Executive Committee and invigorate its participation in the organization of the Associations’ activities and future growth. The current officers will serve for one more year in their positions providing support to new leadership. Therefore, we are seeking nominations for five positions within the Executive Committee, for the following terms:

  • Two positions for three years
  • Two positions for two years
  • One position for one year

The remaining four positions (held by the current officers) will be added to the June 2009 nomination ballot.

NJHEWA members can nominate another member or his/herself to one of the five available Executive Committee positions. The Executive Committee will meet regularly to schedule meetings, organize locations and agendas, and coordinate participation by outside vendors. The Executive Committee also will develop strategies for expanding membership and future goals.
